  There is nothing good about this place! 1 star is to good for them. If you care about your family member, do NOT take them here. My family member sat in her mess for 2 days. It was dried on her butt...and there is so much more... the wing smells of urine and bleech every time I had been there. There is maybe one nice person there. The others ignore you while you stand at the counter to talk to someone. They are on their phones, not to even look at or notice you... And talk bad about the people there. My family member has had an infection for months. Still they did not take care of it..... I was in the hospital talking about nursing homes..... OMG!!!! People jumped into my conversation while I was talking.... The things people said to me about Heron Pointe was just enough for me to get my family member out!!!!! Even a nurse had her father there and said it was a bad nightmare. And that was a few years ago... As they did not know she was a nurse. Out of the 8 people I talked with, said do not let your family member stay there. To hear their stories was just heart wrenching. How can these people go home and sleep at night?
  They should be ashamed of themselves. Mind blowing! There are a couple good assisted living facilities. Do your research and go see the place before you put your family member there. Do not be affraid to ask questions and look at the other patients, they will tell you without even saying a word. Where I took my family member is gods sent! Very busy with activities to keep them busy. Happy and looking forward to the next activity every day. Food is good too. They even bake with their patients.
  They make them feel important ! As they all are! Everything this place does is special! I believe every person that stays at heron pointe should have to write a review so these people will be exposed for who they really are! Shame on all of them! If you can not handle working with the elderly, find a job some where you like. so these elderly people that have no choice to be there can live the rest of their life free of the wrong doing you are doing to them! As I am sure they all worked there whole life to be able to be some where they can trust they will be taken care of in a professional manner. I was always told, do unto others as you would want done to you..... No matter what you tell them will help. As we have. It all gets ignored! And heron pointe please do not leave a message as if you care.... Because I know, you do not! It is only about the money to you! These elderly people are just a number to you!
